"Hazel & Nutty" talk "Christmas"!

Hey there, my sweet friends!! It's Monday again! And I'm back from the most fantabulous vacation in St. Maarten! I tell ya, hanging out in the Carribbean for 9 days is just a little slice of heaven!! Here's a pic of our beach chairs . . . would'ja just look at that stunning turquoise water!! Sigh! I miss it already!
I'm happy to be back home, though . . . I've missed my own bed . . . and my studio . . . and my stamps . . . and my Copics!! Oh, oh, oh . . . and guess what? I have a fun new Sugar Nellie DT project to share with you!!
This week's "tag" card is part of that commissioned order I mentioned a couple of weeks ago! This little darlin' is called "Hazel & Nutty" and is part of Sugar Nellie's Home Grown Collection available at Funky Kits. Aaacck! I just checked the store, and it seems that the Hazel & Nutty stamps are temporarily out of stock. Please keep checking, though . . . there's more stock being added all the time. (Sorry about that.) Here's a peek at the "sentiment" tag . . .
My card "recipe" . . .

Happy 34th, Adam!

Hey there my lovelies! Well, well, well . . . are you having a fabulous week so far? I am delighted that my computer is back home . . . but a little disappointed that it's running so slowwwwwly! What's a person to do?! Oh . . . I know what . . . I think I'll go to the beach!
Hehehe! That's right . . . if Blogger behaves and posts this when I've scheduled it to post, then I'll be on my way to St. Maarten as you read this! Wheet whooooo! So . . . quick post for me today!

Yep . . . it's Thursday and it's time for another fun challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! This week's challenge theme is . . .

BUTTONS!

OK . . . so, this is embarrassing . . . I've been crazy busy trying to catch up on DT work and commissioned cards and preparing for vacay! Well, the other day I realized that my baby boy, Adam, is having a birthday this week . . . it was Tuesday, actually! It's a good thing that I'm always late sending cards . . . he won't even suspect that I nearly forgot his 34th birthday!! What a terrible mother, right?! Here's your card, Adam . . . it's in the mail . . . I swear! . . .
This little cutie is called "Byebye (boy)" and is available HERE in Mo's online store. Mo also has a "girl" version HERE.  They're both so stinkin' adorable, don'tcha think?! And, since it's almost fall here in the Northern hemisphere, I decided to use some gorgeous new fall DPs that I just ordered a few weeks ago! Such deliciously rich colors! Here's a bit of a side view . . .
 My card "recipe" . . .
Image printed on Cryogen "metallic" cardstock
Very Vanilla & Chocolate Chip cardstock: Stampin' Up
Chocolate Chip ribbon, metal buckle, and corduroy "button" brads: Stampin' Up
DPs: "Apple Cider" by Bo Bunny
Sentiments: Stampin' Up
Raffia ribbon: My stash
Deckled Oval Nestabilities die Spellbinders
Copic Sketch markers & colored pencils

I almost stroked out when I looked at this card in it's finished form. It's so, so . . . what's the word? "Masculine" . . . arrggh! Now, I ask you,  would a couple of flowers, pearls, and a bow hurt? I think NOT! hehehe! But, as you can see, I refrained from the elaborate embellies! Here's a peek at the inside . . .
And finally (I remembered it this time!) . . . the "artsy" view . . .
So, my lovelies, there ya go! Now, before I head off to play in the clear blue waters of the Carribbean, I have a small request . . . please be sure to pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog HERE to check out the gorgeous projects created by my talented DT sisters! Then, please join the fun this week at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Just remember to use one (or more) of Mo Manning's images (you can find them in Mo's online store HERE). Oooh . . . and don't forget . . . Mo is giving away one $5.00 voucher at her online stores for every 25 entries! (selected by Random.Org, of course).

Thanks so much for stopping by . . . and for leaving such sweet comments! I'll see you when I return . . . suntanned and at least 5 pounds heavier! Mwahhhh!

Jasmine goes "vintage" (sort of) . . .

Hey ho . . . it's Monday again! And I'm going on vacation in just a few days! Wheet whooo!! So, since I have to seriously contemplate packing, I'll get right to my Sugar Nellie DT project!!
OK, here's the deal . . . I made this "tag" card as part of a rather large commissioned order for a friend of mine who lives in Florida! I sure hope she likes it! I added a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Inks to all the edges . . . it looks really, really dark in these photos . . . especially on the butterfly border thingie . . . but, in real life, it's much more subtle! I'm blaming it on the fact that the sun had already gone down by the time I took these pics! arrggh! This sweet little image is "Jasmine" and is available HERE at Funky Kits. Here's a side view . . .
My card "recipe" . . .

Christmas Greetings . . . in September?!

Hey sweet friends! I've been thinking a lot about Christmas Cards lately . . . probably because so many of my blogging buddies have already made so many! I, on the other hand, have not! Hehehe! I tell ya, I can't start getting into the "spirit" of the holiday season until AFTER I've spent some quality time at the beach! So . . . fortunately, we are going on vacay this next week . . . to the beach, of course! So, when I get back, I'll be in serious Christmas mode . . . ooooh, right after I make some Halloween cards for the grandkiddos! LOL!

Isn't this the sweetest image? It's called "Ice Skating" and is available HERE at Lili of the Valley. Here's a side view . . .
I actually didn't have any "brass"-looking Christmas charms, so I took a silver one and colored it with a brown Copic marker . . . VOILA! Oh . . . I did the same thing with the metal filigree corner . . . and the beads inside! Clever, I know!

My card "recipe" . . .

And that's it for me . . . oooh, I almost forgot . . . I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

OK . . . now, I'm ready to sign off and watch some TV with my sweet hubby. (College football! Seriously, what ELSE would we want to watch on a Saturday night?! hehee!) Thanks so much for visiting . . . and, as always, for your sweet comments. Hugs to you all!

Berry, berry cute . . .

Hey there my lovelies! Oh dear, oh dear . . . this has been the weirdest week for me! My laptop has been feeling "under the weather" and had to go to the 'puter doctor! So, I've been relegated to our ancient desktop computer . . . which takes 2 weeks longer than FOREVER for me to upload photos! LOL! I am amazed at how dependent I've become on technology! Don't misunderstand . . . I love my computer . . . it's just that I love it lots more when it works! :-)

Guess what? It's Thursday and that means it's time for another fun challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! And since this is the first challenge of the month . . . yep, it's September! YIKES! . . . this week's challenge theme is . . .

ANYTHING GOES!

I was contacted last week by a lovely lady who requested a card that I'd made (and sold) last year. Since all of my cards are "one-of-a-kind", this card is similar, but not identical. I had to dig deep into my stash of DPs and, as luck would have it, I had just enough of the original DPs to make this card! I was shocked, I tell ya! So . . . here's my card for this week's challenge over at Mo's . . .
This little darlin' is "Strawberry Girl" and is available HERE in Mo's online store. Here's a bit of a side view . . .
And another . . .

And finally . . .
